Melbourne Writer’s Festival: Let’s talk love with Bigoa Chuol

August 31 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Free

We acknowledge that this event will take place on the stolen lands of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nations. Sovereignty has never been ceded, nor has a treaty ever been signed. We acknowledge all First Nations people who continue to practice language and culture in the face of ongoing colonialism and cultural genocide.

Join Bigoa Chuol as she moderates a conversation on how we love ourselves, others and our communities in spite of what is presented to us by the external world.

How do we love ourselves even when we can’t see ourselves, pushed out from communities? How do we love through addiction and all the harm that encounters our minds and bodies within this society? How do we believe in ourselves when others don’t?

This is a talk about we keep our internal and communal light shining inspite of.

Panel members will be announced real soon.
